Karen Gould D.C. is a 1986 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic.  Prior to joining Traub Chiropractic in 1993, she was in private practice in North Dakota.

Adjusting Techniques:   Manual (with hands) adjusting/manipulation techniques of Gonstead and Diversifed style (Palmer methods).  Also uses lighter touch techniques of Activator and Thompson (drop table technique).  Decision making is based on patient need and preference.

Extremity adjusting:  Dr. Gould is very experienced in treating extremity injuries like heel spurs/plantar fascitis, rotator cuff, and tennis elbow.

Muscle work (trigger point therapy) and muscle stretching are used for many conditions.  Dr. Gould does a lot of hands on muscle work during her treatments.

Dr. Gould’s Chiropractic philosophy is to make certain every patient has been instructed in self help strategies like strength and stretching exercises.  Along with the strength training recommendations, she also likes to help her patients ‘work smarter’.  The exercises and work tips allow patients to reduce the risk of injury recurrence.

Dr. Nathan Omick is originally from Sullivan, WI. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1995. After three years of service in the United States Navy, he started college in Madison. Following that four years, he attended Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, IA where he graduated in 2005. Dr. Omick has been with our practice ever since.

Dr. Omick employs not only the traditional methods of spinal adjusting, but also various low-force techniques. Nutritional evaluation, muscle rehabilitation and exercise instructions are also a part of his treatment plans.

Dr. Omick’s philosophy revolves around healthy living and above all, prevention. He firmly feels that most of the cases he treats could have been prevented with lifestyle changes to include good nutrition, exercise and proper lifting techniques.

Mary graduated in 1989 from Blue Sky Educational Foundation for Massage. Her certifications include Pre-Natal and Pregnancy Massage, Energy Healing work, Neuromuscular Therapy, The Trager® Approach, Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage.

Mary’s philosophy is to provide patients with ease of movement, less tension in muscles and self care. Using a variety of techniques, she brings about the relief of pain and soreness associated with chronic and acute injury. Massage reduces inflammation, increases circulation, reduces fluid retention, improves a sense of well-being and alertness. Mary specializes in the The Trager® Approach. It is a non invasive technique that approaches wellness through deep relaxation of the nervous system.

She also uses YL Essential Oils in her practice; The Raindrop Technique treatment uses 7 different oils with light massage to boost the body’s natural healing process.

Mary Ellen Westenburg has lived in the Lake Country area her whole life. After 30 years in Quality Control and Manufacturing she had the opportunity to purse a career in alternative health care when her company downsized jobs to Mexico. This move created many unique learning opportunities that included going back to school.
She attended The Milwaukee School of Massage and graduated in 2005. Mary Ellen is a Wisconsin Licensed Massage Therapist and chose to take the test for national certification. She is certified by the NCBTMB and is a current member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
She strongly believes that Massage Therapy is the missing piece in most people’s wellness care programs. She has seen amazing changes in the quality of life that people enjoy when they combine their chiropractic adjustments with soft tissue care. Massage therapy improves flexibility and reduces inflammation when working with injuries. Massage therapy and Chiropractic care are the perfect union because they both work with the nervous system. Her goal is to help each person remember what it feels like when their parasympathetic nervous system is engaged and working properly. That hour can be the most important gift that you give yourself!
Mary Ellen graduated for the Chiropractic Technician’s program in 2007. She joined Traub Chiropractic Care Center that May. She offers a unique continuity of care having worked with our patients and their doctors.
Mary Ellen combines Swedish massage with Myofascial release to help alleviate pain, increase mobility and restore health to the body. She received her certificate of completion from Free Spirit School of Integrated Healing in May 2009.www.freespiritschool.com
She is available on Tuesday from 3pm-7pm, Thursday from 1pm – 7pm and Saturdays by appointment for massage. She also offers an early morning appointment every day but Wednesday.
